OSBERGER Director/Cameraman Mark graduated from The School of Visual Arts in New York City, 1990 with a degree in film and video, focusing studies on electronic cinematography. Upon graduating, he found his first work in the editing room. He quickly moved up from apprentice to first assistant, and finally to working as a freelance editor for such clients as: Red Car, NY, SMA, Mackenzie/Cutler Editorial, The Consulate, NY, Crew Cuts NY, Vito Desario Editorial, Lost Planet, Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Worldwide and Progressive Image Group. In 1993, Mark moved to Chiat / Day Advertising, NY where he worked for four years as a Broadcast Producer on the Reebok Sportswear campaign. It was at Chiat / Day that Mark got his chance behind the camera and worked as Director of Photography for Champion Sportswear. Freelance DP projects followed including: Pepsi Cola International, Reebok International, and Starter Sportswear, NY Life, Continental Airlines. Deciding it was time to get into the director's chair, Mark formed Axis Films in Soho, NY. 1995. At Axis, Mark has directed numerous national and regional television commercials including; The Rite Aid "Cosmetics Guarantee", Playtex, Sears & Roebuck, Comme des Garcons Perfume and Vogue and W Magazines. Mark has also shot numerous broadcast design promo openings for NBC, Sony records, A&E, Bravo, The History Channel, Discovery Channel and The Travel Channel. In addition, Mark has also worked as a portrait fashion still Photographer, shooting many international fashion catalogs for such designers as: Rue Blanche, France and Marc Jacobs, MJ Look, Mitsubishi Rayon, Renown Look Japan and South Korea. |
